The Ritz Carlton Just Got Even Cooler
You’re on a luxury break in an exotic locale and you’re thinking "been there, done that". Forget the spa day and spend a little time lending a hand to the community you’re visiting.
That’s the idea behind The Ritz-Carlton’s Give Back Getaways. The program invites guests to take a break from business meetings or sightseeing and participate in half-day volunteer projects developed with local needs in mind.
For example, in Maui you can support conservation efforts, while in Jamaica you can help out at a home for abandoned children. You can even participate closer to home and visit the Ronald McDonald House in Cleveland or volunteer at the American Indian Community House in New York City.
The only requirement is enthusiasm, so next time you’re lucky enough to stay at The Ritz, consider turning your vacation into a Give Back Getaway.
The Ronald McDonald House program provides a “home-away-from-home” for families so they can stay close by their hospitalized child at little or no cost. The chapters identify needs and carry out our mission on the ground. They work with the medical community to provide access to health care.
