A Little Kindness Goes a Long Way
Put a spring in your step and a smile on your face, because today kicks off one of our favorite events of the year: It's Random Acts of Kindness Week! Not sure how to celebrate? Read on!
Introduced by the Random Acts of Kindness Foundation®, a nonprofit organization that dates back to 1995, Random Acts of Kindness Week runs from February 13-19. It is designed to spread joy, partially through the Extreme Kindness challenge, which challenges participants to commit to a daily act of kinds for the duration of the week. Sound good? We've Got A Good Idea...
Public transportation can be one of the worst things in the world—or one of the best, depending on your attitude. Smile at your bus driver, give up your seat to another passenger, or even pay someone else's fare. It will make your ride feel shorter and your day a bit brighter.
Quote:
“Three things in human life are important: the first is to be kind; the second is to be kind; and the third is to be kind.” ― Henry James
Did You Know?
A single smile can generate the same level of pleasurable brain stimulation as up to 2,000 bars of chocolate, according to British researchers. Smiling can also reduce your stress levels and overall blood pressure. So go ahead, smile at a stranger—doctor's orders!
The Random Acts of Kindness Foundation is an internationally recognized non-profit organization founded upon the powerful belief in kindness and dedicated to providing resources and tools that encourage acts of kindness.
