Artisan Storytelling

There is beautiful jewelry, and there is beautiful jewelry that tells a story.
The stories the Elephant Collection by Liz Gilbert tell are intricately linked to Africa where the designer resides. These exquisite handcrafted pieces are lovingly made by Keynan artisans, ensuring their tribal traditions are everlasting. 10% of all profits from the collection go to the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, specifically to help with the rescue of orphaned elephants in Africa.
You can only find the breathtaking collection at the Indagare Souk, a global marketplace where you can virtually circle the globe and find exotic home, fashion and gift items that help support local communities and artisans. “For the Indagare Souk, we are always seeking beautiful, handmade things that have a story behind them and a cause that they support,” says Indagare founder Melissa Biggs Bradley.
If you happen to be in the New York City vicinity this month, Indagare is hosting two souks: one in Greenwich CT on November 10th and 11th and another at the Pierre, a Taj Hotel, in New York City on November 14th, 15th and 16th. For information click here.
Wear a piece from the Elephant Collection and find yourself just a little bit closer to the magic and wonder of Africa.
