Get Inked For A Good Cause
Tattoos have long been used as a way of showing devotion to a cause, idea, or a girlfriend’s idiosyncratically spelled full name (we don’t recommend this last one). Recently, temporary tats have been on the rise as a stylistic alternative that's a bit more fleeting. But what if you could showcase both your good taste and commitment to a sweet cause? The Temporary Tattoo Project has got your back – or wrist, or shoulder: wherever you decide to show off your limited edition art.
Cofounders Lauren Sauma and Robyn Fukumoto teamed up with Givology and six fantastic tattoo artists to create a line of temporary tats. Each tattoo is one artist’s imagining of the writings, favorites, and dreams of a child being sponsored by Flying Kites, an organization whose Leadership Academy wants to change the way that aid and education are provided in the developing world.
Rather than providing the minimum needed to survive, Flying Kites challenges the system to provide exceptional care that allows disadvantaged children a place on the world stage, helping their country change. Talk about cred! Not only is your newest ink commitment-free, it also paints a positive message right on your skin.
Can that tribal tattoo on your bicep say the same?
