(G)iving Proof
From struggling students to the well-established, who doesn’t love affordable art? Not only does it support artists and craftspeople the world over, there is something really lovely about actively democratizing beauty. And to the sweet folks behind The Working Proof, that beauty only increases when it’s shared.
Founded and run by husband-and-wife printmaking team Anna Corpron and Sean Aeyeung, the concept is simple. Each week, an exclusive limited-edition print is released. Fifteen percent of the sale of each print is donated to a charity near and dear to the artist’s heart – and when the print runs out, it’s gone for good.
Rather than focusing solely on the creative motivation behind the piece, each artist is interviewed to illuminate the intersection between the work and their cause of choice.
The Working Proof seeks to promote both art and social responsibility. We think they’ve succeeded with flying (or muted, or neon!) colors.
The proof is on your walls.
