Good & Spicy
When it comes to saving the world, we think about planting trees, teaching children and curing disease, not about our kitchen pantry. Cumin Crusader or Allspice Avenger aren't exactly household heros.
However, from the plastic bags we use to the spices we buy, everything we consume affects our carbon footprint.
TA DA - Introducing The Spicy Gourmet coming to you from master grinder Dinesh Perera’s kitchen in London to your home to add a little spice to your life. Born in Sri Lanka, the self-made chef is inspired by the smells and flavors of his grandmother’s kitchen in Sri Lanka, Perera wanted to bring his bold native flavors to his own kitchen in London.
Perera travelled the globe seeking out the finest fair-trade spices. All of his spices are delivered to you in their whole form, ensuring their oils and flavors stay as potent as possible.
The spices come only from local organic farmer groups in Sri Lanka and India. Their stamp of fair trade worthiness is supported by Trust Organic Small Farmers, a part of the new Alliance for Eco-Ethical Trade and Goods.
Cook tastier, healthier, food and support the people who grew it for you, with The Spicy Gourmet and add some masala to your kitchen.
Consumers that buy products from members of The New Alliance for Eco-Ethical Trade and Goods are assured of high quality certified organic products to a reasonable price. The Trust Organic Small Farmers Alliance bundles marketing efforts, support marginalized producers and provide their trading partners with effective promotion tools.
