Hooray For the Underdog!
We’ve all gotten goosebumps watching an underdog achieve glory. That type of reverie is captured in freeze frame moments throughout the ‘Hooray for the Underdog’ collection of note cards, journals and notepads which boasts creatively styled snapshots of rescue animals given a second chance at life.
Husband and wife photographers Joe Grisham and Janet Healey of HealeyGrisham Studio in Dallas, TX shoot the poignant portraits of personable characters including pearl accessorized pugs, pristinely coiffed poodles, and soulful mixed breeds. The furry subjects commemorate every occasion with expressive eyes and ‘been there, done that’ demeanors that gracefully portray a wide gamut of emotions from joy on holiday cards to woe on sympathy cards.
Here is the message on one witty card.
GREETING: muchas gracias
UNDERDOG: Maggie
PROFILE: Last of a litter from a cardboard box in a grocery store parking lot.
SPECIAL POWER: Rottweiler wannabe and part time desperado. If you need a fearless guard dog, she's your hombre.

Healey and Grisham volunteer their shutterbug skills to the SPCA of Texas, Metroplex Animal Coalition and Dallas Animal Services, to make each canine up for adoption look like the best in show.
