Music for You - Help for Haiti
The expression “ It ain’t over till it’s over”, rings so true when dealing with disasters. Although it has been a year since the tragic Haiti earthquake, the rebuilding and challenges the Haitians face is far from over.
Music for Relief and Causecast have launched DOWNLOAD TO DONATE v2.0.
Donate $10 to help rebuild Haiti and get access to free music. You can donate via cell phone (text ‘RELIEF’ to 41010) or through DOWNLOAD TO DONATE v2.0.
Being the great guys they are, the founders of Download to Donate, want to thank you for your generosity by giving donors a one year subscription to a growing catalogue of music donated by hundreds of artists. Each month, downloadtodonate.org features new songs, video content, giveaways, perks and the updated collective impact of money raised through the program.
Donations received will go directly to the nonprofits working on the ground to rebuild Haiti - The program will support the medium and long-term challenges of reconstruction, including delivery of food, clean water and medical care, as well as the rebuilding of schools for children affected by the earthquake.
Artists for Peace and Justice
Artists for Peace and Justice, established in early 2009, is a fundraising effort founded by Paul Haggis and friends that encourages peace and social justice and addresses issues of poverty and enfranchisement in communities around the world. The organization’s immediate goal is to build schools to serve the poorest areas of Haiti, providing an education, hot meals, clean drinking water and regular medical treatments to the children living in the slums.
charity : water
charity: water is a non-profit organization bringing clean and safe drinking water to people in developing nations. 100% of public donations directly fund water projects. Right now, almost a billion people on the planet don’t have access to clean, safe drinking water. Just $20 can give one person in Haiti clean water for 20 years.
Music for Relief
Music for Relief is dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. Immediately following the January 12, 2010 Haiti Earthquake, MFR launched Download to Donate for Haiti to raise awareness and funds for the survivors and subsequently raised a quarter of a million dollars for immediate relief including food, water and emergency medical supplies as well as long-term sustainable housing solutions. Working in partnership with Direct Relief International funds raised will be contributed to a community grant fund for local Haitian organizations that suffered tremendous losses, have undertaken extraordinary efforts, and continue to play an essential role in the ongoing efforts to recover, rebuild, and serve affected people.
