Purple is the New Pink

The color purple. It’s a hue that was once reserved for royalty; it’s the name of a book-turned-movie staring none other than Ms. Oprah Winfrey; Prince even sang about rain in the jewel tone. Oh yeah, and it’s also the official color of Alzheimer’s causes.
Why purple? We're not sure, but we do know that November is Alzheimer's month and donning the grape shade is a great way to show your support.
For a fun, creative way to rock the color, snatch up the “Memory fades, but the love remains” t-shirt from Threadless. It is $20 (m & w) and 25% of each sale goes straight to the Alzheimer’s Association.
If a t-shirt is not your thing, pick up the bareMinerals’ limited-edition Tenderheart Eyecolor. Every purchase of the exclusive lovely mauve shade (also found at Sephora stores) helps support Bare Escentuals’ donation to the AA as part of their BE Cares efforts.
You can always rock the very cool Pura Vida bracelet that is only $5 and $1 goes to the Alzheimer's Association.
Go purple and support Alzheimer's awareness this month.
