Necessity is the mother of creativity, or so it is said. And for the sick and injured kids at hospitals in Los Angeles and New York, they are in desperate need of creativity.

Thankfully, the Art of Elysium has plenty to give, in form of painters, musicians, makeup artists, performers and more that volunteer their time and talents.

That same thought applies to the roots of the Art of Elysium, started when founder Jennifer K. Howell lost a dear friend to leukemia. Jennifer would share tales of ill children, alone in the hospital in need of hope and light and a little fun.

 Fortunately, when children are involved, people of all walks of life will flock to assist, including the brightest of Hollywood stars, musicians and artists of all varieties, and the Art of Elysium is no exception. A lengthy who’s who list of celebrity supporters include: Ben Affleck, Courtney Cox, Maroon Five, James Franco, Kelly Ripa, Joe Manganiello and a host of others that lend their time and give their hearts to the cause.

This summer they are trying to raise enough funds for 3,000 art kits. The art kits are only $25 and this kit will be the source of countless dreams put to paper. You can donate new art supplies, costumes, beauty products, and children’s books.
