Remedy for The Winter Blues
Nothing warms the stomach like a piping hot bowl of soup.
Lucky for us, The Women’s Bean Project has packaged hearty homemade soup mixes made with love and delivered to our door.
In 1989 Jossy Eyre founded The Women's Bean Project after doing volunteer work at a day shelter for homeless women. Eyre realized that while the shelter kept women safe, it did not offer the opportunity to truly make life changes. Thus, she took immediate action and bought $500 worth of beans and put two homeless women to work - the first step in building the Women’s Bean Project social enterprise.
Today besides the incredible six tantalizing flavors of soups and chili, the product offerings have expanded to salsa mixes, spice rubs, coffee beans and jellybeans.
We suggest you start with the delicious soups made with organic beans. All you need to do to prepare is add boiling water, garlic and tomatoes. Get a gift bundle of 3 or 6 so you can try a few: Toni's 10 Bean, Marian's Black Bean, Sarah's Spicy Split Pea, Old Fashioned Chili Firehouse #10 Chili, Certified Organic Six Bean.
