So ... Do We All Agree?
Chevron. A name synonymous with oil, energy, fuel, aviation and chemicals.
Chevron certainly moved up the ranks in our minds as they are also tied to sustainability, corporate ethics, supporting small communities and fighting AIDS.
Chevron ran a double spread ad in the Wall Street Journal on June 1st with the words “FIGHTING AIDS SHOULD BE CORPORATE POLICY”. The words alone were strong, but the image of the mother and daughter were haunting. Haunting enough to motivate people to sign on to their site, Chevron: We Agree, where the vast effort Chevron is making on many socially responsible platforms becomes clear.
Chevron has committed over $55 million to the Global Fund to fight AIDS; they have committed to invest millions in geothermal, biofuel and solar technologies; they have committed to invest in communities, providing jobs, inspiring students to learn and improving lives.
Their tag line is: "You might be surprised to see how many things we agree on".
Well, no surprise here...we wholeheartedly agree with Chevron’s ethos. Do the Milkshake Good Deed of the day and show you agree!
