Still Thinking Pink
October may be over and done, but the fight against breast cancer is a 365-day-a-year endeavor.
Love them or hate them, reality shows are here to stay... at least for a while. The bad news is, they're probably dragging our collective intelligence down a bit. The good news is, occasionally a star is born, and that star decides to give something back and make a difference.
Such is the case of Laguna Beach and The Hills alum Lauren Conrad, who's gone on to become quite the fashion entrepreneur with her own exclusive line of clothing and accessories sold at Kohl's, her own online beauty community, a boutique clothing brand called Paper Crown and last but certainly not least, an eco-partnership with Blue Avocado. These days, she's taking the sort of pink product phenomenon that's typically confined to October and breaking all the rules, running a charitable campaign from November through early February. 100% of the net proceeds from her current Committed to the Cause line go directly toward the fight against breast cancer.
From scarves, pajamas and slippers to candles, coffee cups and contact lens cases (all $5-10), Conrad's thoughtful pink line is as cute as she is. That, quite frankly, is a reality we're happy to tune into.
