This Week’s Scoop

“A bone to the dog is not charity. Charity is the bone shared with the dog, when you are just as hungry as the dog.” Jack London

Here is a pretty darn good reason to buy pants... even if you aren't a guy. Bonobos and FEED have designed men's pants that will support the FEED projects. For every FEED 2 pant purchased, Bonobos will feed two school children for an entire year (a good reason to stock up). In addition to the new pants, they also sell the iconic FEED 2 bag.

For most females, their monthly cycle is a slight inconvenience easily remedied with Midol or a hot water bottle. For millions of other girls around the world, they don't even have essential protection. They can miss precious days of school and risk disease as a result. The makers of o.b. tampons have launched a viral, Share-It-Forward program on Facebook to help raise awareness and provide funding to Huru International.

Chances are at least one product in your kitchen is organic, maybe even all of them. Mambo Sprouts, a site with loads of coupons and recipes for healthy products, is partnering with the Congo Coffee Exchange who are donating a portion of the proceeds to the Panzi Foundation which supports medical programs for more than 2,000 survivors of sexual violence in the D.R. Congo. P.S. They are giving away a free goodie bag on Facebook every day this month.

We admit it, we are addicted to Angry Birds, or we were until we saw all the new Free Rice categories. Think you know the difference between a Renoir and a Rembrant? Perhaps literature is your forté, or challenge yourself with Flags of the world. Every right answer gives 10 grains of rice to the World Food Programme to end hunger. Go ahead and play often (even if you have other things to do) and challenge your friends. Those angry birds are about to get more angry

Liga Masiva wants YOU to be a part of their Advocate Program and help build a "global farmers’ market." The market directly connects small-scale organic farmers in Latin America to consumers in the U.S.  Farmers are paid 200% more and it gives consumers the most delicious experience around. Become an advocate and help grow the global farmers' market and build awareness. Fill out your application now to be an advocate. They have extended the deadline for Milkshake subscribers through this Sunday
