Threads for Thought

Who said style and sustainability were mutually exclusive? Threads for Thought is a brand that brings these two elements together and helps to give back! In 2006, while still in college, Eric Fleet and Leigh Ivan founded their clothing line introducing garments made for women and men with fabrics such as organic cotton and polyester recycled from water bottles. Add some new stylish tees to your spring wardrobe; scoop, v-neck and long sleeve, in soft neutrals that work with everything. We also love the Slub Jacket, it’s military chic and affordable! They have a terrific collection for men as well. The new triblend polo is a sophisticated update of the classic version.
In addition to being eco-friendly, Threads for Thought is also philanthropic, as it gives a portion of its proceeds to The International Rescue Committee (IRC) and The Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC). The IRC works in over 42 countries to help to rehabilitate areas and the people in them affected by conflict and oppression. They provide emergency relief and relocation services to refugees around the world, often helping them to resettle and integrate in the U.S.
The NRDC is the most effective environmental action group in our nation with 1.2 million members and professionals working to save the environment and all of its inhabitants. Members of NRDC work to solve the most pressing environmental issues we face today: curbing global warming, getting toxic chemicals out of the environment, moving America beyond oil, reviving our oceans, saving wildlife and wild places, and helping China go green.
