The Good News...

Sseko Designs was created in part to help young Ugandan women attend university. Traditionally, in Uganda young people take a year off between secondary school and college, during which time they are expected to earn money for their education. Due to the income gap, this process tends to be much, much more difficult for girls than it is for boys. Sseko seeks to address the gender gap by providing stable, dignifying and fair wage employment. Sseko Designs also partners with a local non-profit to help provide jobs for women coming out of the commercial sex industry.
