Twist of Fate
After spending several years living in China with her family, Amy Cooper founded Red Twist, the perfect sweater/wrap for any occasion.
An avid traveler and photographer, Amy was fascinated by the tastes, sights and smells of China. She travelled extensively, logging in many hours on planes and realized what was missing from every trip was a cozy cashmere sweater to wrap up in on those long flights. She looked everywhere and finally, while in Beijing, Amy discovered the warmest, softest and yummiest cashmere - So of course she had it made into a wrap to accompany her on her travels.
With so many compliments, the next logical thing to do was start a business, and Red Twist was born. Each wrap is 100% Mongolian cashmere, so your wrap may take some time, but it is well worth the wait. And it comes in great colors: grey, brown, cream, charcoal, and oatmeal.
On her travels, Amy not only discovered luxurious cashmere but she saw the hardships of living in China, especially for young girls. As a mother of three young girls herself, she wanted to help Chinese girls have access to education and to make giving back a part of her business. She found The Josephine Charles Foundation which helps disadvantaged minority children, especially girls, in remote mountain communities, to attend school.
A portion of your purchase will go to sending an underprivileged Chinese girl to school.
Josephine Charles Foundation aim is to improve the lives and create opportunities for disadvantaged children, especially girls, of the Liangshan Yizu Autonomous Region in Sichuan, China through sustainable projects focusing on education. Since its inception the Foundation has constructed eight new schools and refurbished a further three.
