What Took You So Long?
What Took You So Long To find Mongolian Camel Cheese? from What Took You So Long? on Vimeo.
We all know you can get milk from a cow and cheese from a goat, but who knew you could get both from a camel?
Armed with a video camera and an insatiable sense of adventure, the small team at The What Took You So Long Foundation (WTYSL) is traversing the globe to find out more about this versatile animal that helps support pastoral communities around the world and provides a milk (and cheese!) that is believed to have medicinal properties.
But this organization’s work does not stop at camel’s milk. WTYSL is dedicated to documenting causes, people, and countries that have previously been undocumented. They then take what they have captured on film and share it internationally through workshops and lectures to raise awareness about issues that don’t always get the attention they deserve.
You can check out the WTYSL YouTube channel, which features video they have collected from more than 30 countries about the people, places, organizations, and of course, camels, that are truly making a difference.
Next stop for WTYSL is the Sundance Film Festival, so be on the lookout for camels coming to a theater near you!
