Wild West Wishes
This rootin' tootin' tee makes dreams come true for buckaroos in need.
Make no mistake about it: the Cowgirl Tuff Co. aesthetic is rough and tumble, wild and free. The Western clothing brand, established in 1999 on a farm in Litchfield, Minnesota, got its start selling tee shirts at local barrel races. By 2004, the brand had gone wholesale, and with success came the desire to give something back to its country-music-loving community.
As a result, $2 from the sale of every dark brown burnout tee goes directly to Western Wishes. The charity serves victims of severe spinal cord and head injuries as well as survivors of cancer, muscular dystrophy, cerebral palsy, and heart afflictions. Many of them might be turned away from traditional "wish" organizations that only work with children with terminal diagnoses under the age of 18; Western Wishes bridges that gap and includes a broad range of ages and circumstances. To date, wish recipients have been able to take the stage at popular public events, participate in bull-riding competitions and meet the likes of Shania Twain, Luke Perry and Taylor Swift. Cowgirl Tuff Co. has managed to rustle up more than $60,000 for those efforts.
The shirt itself says it all: "Believe in Peace, Truth & Victory. Never Give Up." It's available in select retail locations around the globe (click here to search for one near you) and at Sierra Western Wear online. As its target audience might say, "Giddyup and gitcha some."
