Wrist Candy: Do-Good Bracelets & Bangles

Winter fashion is always fun, but there's nothing quite like springtime for kicking our aesthetic impulses into overdrive. Forget about April showers: Warm weather means sundresses, flip flops and bare arms (and legs and shoulders!). Celebrate the season by decking your wrists with a few of these candy colored bracelets. We promise you'll have the sweetest style on the block.

Wrist Candy: Do-Good Bracelets & Bangles

1. This lovely Sandalwood and Amethyst Bracelet is available through AHALife. Not only is it gorgeous, it also has a light, natural scent of sandalwood—so you can sniff your wrists and forgo perfume! Even better: All proceeds from this $39 bauble go to benefit survivors of war and civil strife through Women For Women International.

2. Mango Tree Fitted Bangles are an eco-friendly way to dress up this Earth Day. Made from the wood of mango trees that no longer can bear fruit, these lightweight cuffs are comfy and casual enough for everyday wear. For a simple look, try the natural wood. Prices start at $18 a bangle.

3. Wrap your wrists in sensual silk with Bhati Beads. Designed by Margaret Maggard, all the good at Bhatti Beads are made by hand in their Wisconsin studio. Our favorite item is the Flash Your Pink! bracelet, which was created to benefit the Susan G. Komen foundation.

4. Take your look from rags to riches with these up-cycled vintage sari bracelets. Artisans in India create these pretty charms from from the cloth scraps of old saris. Want your own? The eco-friendly, fair-trade fashions are available for $32 a pop at Uncommon Goods.

5. Finally, we're drooling over all the pretty beads at 31 Bits. Founded by Kallie Dovel after spending a summer in Uganda, this lovely line of jewelry is handcrafted in Africa by local artisans. 31 Bits currently employs 108 women in Gulu, Uganda—and they don't stop there. The company also provides all their workers with free English lessons, finance training and access to community groups.
