“I'm not afraid of anything in this world
There's nothing you can throw at me
That I haven't already heard
I'm just trying to find a decent melody
A song that I can sing in my own company” BONO
Music makes the world go round, the world go round, the world go round… now that melody is going to be stuck in your head all day. That’s the beauty of music, it speaks to us, is memorable, inspiring, uplifting, and soulful. Music tells us stories of love, life and loss, touching our hearts, making us smile, compelling us to dance. It keeps us company on long road trips, entertains while doing boring errands, brightens up a bad day, and always makes a good day even better.
The term “struggling artist”, is often a sad reality and that is where MusiCares™ steps in. Musicares™ offers assistance for musicians when they find themselves struggling financially, emotionally or physically. They are the safety net for these musicians during troubled times.
MusiCares™ launched a unique fund-raising campaign last month called “Be a Part of the Heart” with the goal of creating the world’s largest photo mosaic comprised of 1 million photo tiles. The response has been viral and so far Bon Jovi, Melissa Etheridge, and Taylor Swift have all uploaded their photos. For just $1.00, you can have your favorite mug shot put in the heart mosaic and you could end up next to Chris Martin or Jay Z. Tiles can be created in honor of loved ones, your favorite musician or even your pet!
Not only that, but you have a chance to win two tickets to the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards in 2012.
It takes two seconds to upload, and your photo will help support struggling artists, so they may continue to inspire and entertain us with their music. Who knows, your contribution may help the next Justin Bieber.
Let’s keep the music playing!
