You’ve Got Mail!
We got a really great letter the other day from the owner/designer of YumYum Bubblegum Handstamped Jewelry that we just had to share with you all.
“I live in the deep south... Sumrall, MS. I have been designing jewelry for about 3 years and currently have a shop online.
Recently as you may have heard, tornadoes ravaged parts of Mississippi and Alabama and left total devastation in many areas. There were many deaths and scores of people are left without homes and even entire towns are wiped off the map.
I would love to do a feature and give 15% of all sales for a specified week to the relief fund for these towns/families. Many times, things in these small southern towns are overlooked and soon forgotten and help doesn't come as readily as in other areas. Every little bit helps!
I would love to do this rather quickly so that the proceeds can go to help as soon as possible.”
We couldn’t have said it better ourselves!
P.S. Not only is the jewelry really cool, it can also be custom stamped with names of family, friends, or sayings, and the prices are great ($25-$95).
The 15% donation will be good through June 15th and the proceeds will be split between the Convoy of Hope and The Mississippi Disaster Recovery Fund. The latter was set up by Governor Haley Barbour to serve as the state’s central clearinghouse for financial donations to all the Mississippians who are recovering from the devastating natural disasters.
The Convoy of Hope goals are to provide help and hope to people in need in the United States and around world through our children’s feeding initiatives, community outreaches, disaster response and partner resourcing. Convoy of Hope is considered a “first responder” organization in disaster relief. With a fleet of tractor-trailers, a 300,000-square-foot warehouse, a high-tech Mobile Command Center and through a scalable distribution model they are able to respond quickly and provide resources and help to victims of disasters worldwide.
