Bee a Honey
There has been a lot of buzzing down the Savannah way...
and the buzz is coming from the Savannah Bee Company, one of America’s fastest growing companies and a pretty sweet one at that.
Ted Dunnard's bee story started when he was 12, after a local beekeeper asked if he could harvest his bees on the Dunnard family property. A young Ted was immediately cautioned, “Son, bees sort of become a way of life.”
With three retail stores and a wide array of bee-licious products, Ted's dream of emulating a beehive’s symbiotic nature is now realized in his company’s socially responsible business philosophy: “Like Bees, Savannah Bee wants everything they touch to be beneficial to others.”
All of Savannah Bee’s artisan honeys are KSA Kosher Certified and 100% pure with no additives. And like bees to honey, we are particularly drawn to the special harvests: Tupelo Honey, Sourwood Honey, Orange Blossom Honey, and Black Sage which recently helped fund Red Cross aid to the storm-ravaged South.
Savannah Bee’s Peace Honey, a tropical rainforest varietal from Honduras, donates $3 per bottle towards Heifer International’s efforts to end hunger and poverty in Honduran communities.

Heifer' International's mission is to work with communities to end hunger and poverty and care for the earth. By giving families a hand-up, not just a hand-out, we empower them to turn lives of hunger and poverty into self-reliance and hope.
