Hortiscope? Why it's just a little quiz Timberland set up on facebook where you can find out your tree personality.

In honor of Arbor Day (no, not Labor Day) which is today,  the campaign asks users to take a quiz and discover their Inner Tree personality. After you take the quiz you get to plant trees in the Virtual Forest application, and for every virtual tree, Timberland will plant a real one in Haiti or China’s Horqin Desert (up to 1 million trees).

The Timberland brand has always been passionate about nature and helping the planet (they were voted one of the most ethical companies in 2011!)  and this year they wanted to create a fun campaign and put Arbor Day back on the map. Arbor Day used to be a really big deal back in the day. 1 million trees were planted on the very first Arbor Day back in 1872.

"If trees could talk, they'd be a bit sad about the lack of activities around Arbor Day," a Timberland spokesperson says in its release. If you don’t want to see any forlorn looking trees in your neighborhood, get right on over to facebook and figure out your tree personality.
