NIKE: JUST DO IT - GREEN
NIKE wants to reduce its carbon footprint- literally. Always an innovator, NIKE is determined to cut back on their footprint by increasing the use of environmentally preferred materials and streamlining manufacturing practices. But, they have not cut back on the amazing styling, fit, perfomance and quality that is synonymous with the iconic brand. Here are a few of the great ways NIKE is building a better (green) world.
The TR Free fit sneaker is made using environmentally preferred rubber and recycled polyester. This multi- directional flex replicates a natural foot movement = you get more out of your workout!
One 2010 NIKE championship football jersey is made of eight 100% recycled bottles = 13 million diverted bottles from landfills.
NIKE box- the new box contains 23% less material = saving 200,000 trees annually and it’s already made of recycled cardboard!
The Nike Reuse-a-Shoe program has helped recycle more than 23 million pairs of shoes into sport surfaces and is now going across the pond with the program.
GO NIKE GO NIKE....... way to build a better world.
