Sweet Home Alabama
The dog days of summer are over; the temperatures drop, the leaves fall, the colors change. Celebrate the transition with landscape-inspired, sustainable fashion from Alabama Chanin.
Using her hometown of Florence, Alabama roots as a muse, designer Natalie Chanin infuses her clothes with a touch of her rural-inspired environment. Sustainability Gardens and leaves spiral down hand-embroidered, organic cotton and jersey clothing in hues of red, green, navy, and lilac — perfect for fall. Chanin, who’s been acclaimed by Anna Wintour and the CFDA, uses organic and recycled materials in her designs and creates them from scratch with a team of artisans in Florence. The result of hours of stitching, sewing, and weaving — a custom piece of clothing that takes the DIY look to a sophisticated next level.
Our personal favorites: the hand-dyed Alabama Denim Blazer, the soft cotton poncho which is perfect for Indian summer, and June's Dream dress with it's elaborate sequined and glass bead border.
