13 Sweet & Simple Resolutions
It's the start of a brand new year, and for many of us, that means one thing: Resolutions. But instead of doing the usual half-hearted pledge to consume less coffee—like that ever works!—we wanted to mix it up a little.

Here at Milkshake, we happen to believe that New Years Resolutions are best when they are simple. To celebrate the dawning of 2012, we decided to round up a few easy resolutions—inspired from All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten—that work both for you and your kids.
- Share everything—no matter how much you want it for yourself.
- Play fair and give everyone an opportunity to participate.
- Don't hit people. Make peace instead.
- Put things back where you found them. An organized life is something to value.
- Clean up your own mess so others don’t have to clean things up for you.
- Say you're sorry when you hurt somebody—it could avoid wars!
- Wash your hands before you eat. Stay healthy and clean.
- Warm cookies and cold milk are good for you—especially if they are local and organic.
- Live a balanced life. Learn some and think some and draw and paint and sing and dance and play and work every day some.
- When you go out in the world, watch out for traffic, hold hands and stick together—Never forget that family is the most important thing in the world.
- Be aware of wonder. Remember the little seed in the Styrofoam cup: the roots go down and the plant goes up and nobody really knows how or why, but we are all like that.
- Goldfish and hamsters and white mice and even the little seed in the Styrofoam cup—they all die. So do we. Live life everyday with as much joy and wonder as possible.
-
And then remember the Dick-and-Jane books and the first words you learned—the most important words of all—LOOK. LOOK, DREAM, LIVE.
We wish you a happy and healthy new year and look forward to a wonderful 2012!
