One Mother to Another
Like most college students, Rebecca Peragine found herself at a loss for what to do with the rest of her life after graduation. She viewed that void as an invitation for adventure and moved to a Caribbean island in Mexico where she set up a coffee shop, fell in love with an Italian musician and started a family. If her story warms you with its whimsy and makes you long for carefree days, so will the art she designs and sells at Children Inspire Design.
Rebecca uses her passion for raising multi-cultural children and her artistic talent to create playful prints and decor perfect for the nursery, play space or even a family room. Because she’s eco-conscious, her cheery designs are made from repurposed paper, soy ink and biodegradable packaging. Better yet? She launched an initiative to help her former hometown in Mexico and beyond.

Modeling Strength
One Mother to Another is a line of products designed by Rebecca but made by women in impoverished countries like Mexico, Haiti and Rwanda. Children Inspire Design pays a fair trade value for the handmade goods and the women make an income that allows them to rise above their circumstances. Not only does their job provide independence and support for their families, it also teaches a lesson to their children, especially girls, that women can be strong and successful.
Moms Helping Moms
When asked why she launched the effort to help women in remote areas, Rebecca says, “Despite geographical or cultural differences, we are all mothers. We all want the same things for our children."
