Scribblitt: The Write Stuff
There are all kinds of dreams out there. Some kids want to be NFL stars, while others fantasize about a job at the zoo. But if your kid is anything like ours, they probably spend their time daydreaming about the day their name will finally grace the cover of a bestseller.
Want to help promote the creativity of your favorite budding writer? Scribblitt, a website founded by one particularly creative mom, is a fantastic (and free!) way to do so. Targeted to kids age seven to 12, the site provides a way for them to illustrate and publish their own books. Scribblitt is rich with tips, games, and tools designed cure writers block, teach new skills, and promote creativity for every breed of young author—from the mini Tolkiens to the wannabe-Blumes. They even have the occasional interview with celebrity authors, including writer Grace Lin.
